Qualitative Data Governance for Transdisciplinary and Participatory Research
ETH domainETH Domain Data Management Campus
The ETH Domain Data Management Campus offers a comprehensive program of e-learning modules designed to help researchers master Open Research Data and Research Data Management. These modules cover key topics such as preparing and publishing data in repositories, handling sensitive data, and using electronic notebooks.
Our modules are designed to be flexible, with no time limits or grading. Simply choose the topics that interest you most and learn how to implement best practices in Research Data Management and open publishing.
Module - Qualitative Data Governance for Transdisciplinary and Participatory Research
After completing this module, participants will be able to:
- Describe the relation between open science and Td research.
- Discuss why shared data governance is critical for Td research.
- Identify the ethical, practical, and epistemological challenges of applying standard Open Research Data (ORD) practices to qualitative data.
- Think about key questions related to data governance in your own research project (or those you oversee) and identify relevant resources for further guidance.
- Reflect on the different levels of data sharing to determine which are most appropriate for each kind of data in your project.
All content used for this and other modules is accessible and adaptable for reuse: they are published as Open Educational Resources (OER) on zenodo.org/communities/eth-domain-oer-rdm for anyone to integrate into their teaching or learning.
