After completing this module, participants will be able to:

- Identify the advantages and limitations of file-based data organization and databases.
- Describe the benefits of digital over paper notebooks and compare Electronic Lab Notebooks (ELNs) with general note-taking tools for research documentation.
- Explain the role of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) in managing samples and laboratory workflows.
- Outline how integrated platforms combine Database systems, ELNs, and LIMS to support FAIR research data management.
- Select appropriate RDM systems based on your research context and needs.
