The ETH Domain Data Management Campus offers a comprehensive program of 10 modules designed to help researchers master Open Research Data and Research Data Management. These modules cover key topics such as preparing and publishing data in repositories, handling sensitive data, and using electronic notebooks.

After completing this module, participants will be able to:
- Define data storage, backup, and versioning concepts
- Identify the right storage for different data stages (active, transitioning, cold)
- Apply best practices for backing up data using the 3-2-1 rule
- Use versioning techniques to track and manage file changes
- Recognize risks and limitations of various storage setups
- Evaluate and adopt the tools supported by your ETH Domain institution

- Do I receive a certificate? No, certificates are not provided.
- I completed the course, but it still shows as incomplete. Make sure you are enrolled in the course. Progress is only saved if you are enrolled.
- The “Next” button doesn’t work or is greyed out. A greyed-out “Next” button means you are at the end of the course and there are no additional sections.
